About Me

Michael has been playing bass since 2002 when he first aquired a 1975 Fender Musicmaster Bass from his cousin as an early birthday present. That bass became for years Michaels new form of expression, leading him through high school to perform with numerous groups in numerous genres in the Upper Vally region of New Hampshire.
Through study of the Electric Bass, Michael's musical interests exploded and inspired him to move his life to New York City, where he started studying music professionally at the Collective School of Music, located on 14th street and 6th avenue. Through his studys there, Michael was given the oppertunity to record with Victor Wooten and Anthony Wellington in Victor Wootens newest instructional video, "Groove Workshop". Michael currently plays with Mike Kovacs and the Post-Modern Tribe, and beside practicing attends the Collective and will be starting several new projects in the coming Spring of 2009.
Michael is available for sessions, tours, teaching and gigs around New York City and New Jersey, and is well studied in Rock, Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, Electronica, Rap, R&B, Latin, Folk, Bluegrass, Blues and World music, just to name a few. Feel free to drop him a message for any reason.
Michael uses Warwick Basses and DR Strings, and sometimes can be seen with his old '75 Musicmaster.
