Suns of Banditos

About Me

Formed in late summer of 2006 With just 3 members (Rob, Craig & Jim). With the aid of a drum sampler, began 2 write tunes... The first of which was 'No reason' Which is played first in the current live set.As time went by, the drum machine became a big problem as jamming was becoming more and more stale and boring...... The banditos decided it was time for a real drummer. By this time we had already added another excellent guitarist 2 our arsenal, A young gent by the name of Reece Kirkham. But now what? We found the answer in 'Top bloke' Alex Foster smith who was a guitarist, friend and landlord of the most excellent White Swan in Drakeholes. The Banditos had often played with Alex before but he had never played drums, but when he picked up the stix, a natural talent seemed 2 emerge........ After only 3 months of Al playing drums and in this current lineup, the Suns began playing gigs. The first of which was at a local pub 'The king William'.In the 6 months since this first show, the band have played all over Doncaster as well as various other towns impressing many with there subtle blend of balls to the wall Rock n Roll, Indie, funk and psychadelia.Keep your eyes...... open. 2008...... Year of the Bandito!THIS IS NOT AN EXIT. http://www.doncastermusicweek.co.uk/events_and_booking/produ ct/355
