Steel Union

About Me

www.steelunion.co.uk

Steel Union is a Northamptonshire based duo playing traditional acoustic delta and country blues; that being acoustic blues mostly from the period 1920 through to 1945 ish. We play the songs of the great Delta and Country Blues players such as Son House, Robert Johnson, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee, Lightnin' Hopkins and many more.

Steel Union comprises Richard Gibson on Vocals & Blues Harp and Richard Turner on Vocals, National Slide Guitar & Acoustic Guitar.

Together Steel Union recreate the sounds evocative of the Mississippi deep south in days gone by, blues harp wailing and cryin' whilst driving steel guitar generate the rhythms of the railroads and the great express trains as they thundered by.
