About Me

Myspace EditorThe Tubeblasters feature great original and cover tunes in a classic rock style with varying shades of blues, alternative, folk, and country. Big influences include Neil Young, Dylan, the great Johnny Cash, The Rolling Stones, Ben Harper, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead among many others. The band's sound is a blend of acoustic and electric guitars with a solid backing of bass and drums. Lead singer, rhythm guitarist and song writer Ab Q has had a long time relationship with the harmonica and features it on many tracks in either a cross harp rocking blues style, or at other times in a more melodic and relaxing straight harp style. Over the years Ab has continued to develop a unique style and approach to blending these two styles of harmonica playing.A recent addition to the project is Stephen on lead electric guitar. His addition to the Tube Blasters has added a sound and energy which takes the project to and new level.Mark Alva is a monster bass player who brings an element of fusion to the group. A musician who leans more towards playing heavier styles of rock and alternative, his approach to the bass adds an exciting element of progressiveness to the Tube Blasters. Mark is also a great singer and adds beautiful harmonies into the mix on many tunes.Originally from Austin Texas, Brain adds a playful element to the band with his jam band drum style.Look for the Tubeblasters to be playing all over the island. See ya soon!
