We focus on local communities in twelve states of the southeast, providing an important regional infrastructure for building progressive lesbigaytrans organizing in the traditionally conservative, under-resourced south.We serve Southern organizers who want to do multi-issue, cross- constituency organizing. When working with lgbtq organizers, we intentionally prioritize those who are under-represented in movement work: rural/small town, women, young people, trans people, people of color, and poor/working class. We focus on people who want to move within an anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-homophobic, and anti-classist framework and who seek skills and information on how to do that more effectively, and a SONG community in which to live it out.
