Murder A.D. in it's current form was formed in 2003 by founding members Carlos Noriega and Michael Rojas. Initially starting as a simple 2-piece band and occasionally inviting other fellow musicians to join for short lived jam sessions.
Murder A.D.'s roots stem from a much slower, heavy riff and bass driven sound, often using lower tunings and being supported by thunderous bass beats. Over time with the changing line-up and further refinement of their sound Murder A.D. started to evolve into how they sound today.
By early 2004 Luis Moraga, a friend of Murder A.D.'s founding members, had joined the band permanently as the bands lead singer by showing stong interest and support. At this time the band had been looking for a bass player that could fit in well. After trying out various musicians, the band landed on a bass player they felt complimented the band and it's sound.
By now with an ever evolving and distinct sound Murder A.D. sought to expose its music. Murder A.D., now complete as a 4-piece band began playing various small gigs across Northen and Southern California under various names like Vespertilio (Vesper). Over time though, personal issues with their former bass player began to dissolve the bands solidarity. Around December 2006 Murder A.D. decided to part ways with their former bass player and continue on without him.
