Lisa Cuthbert

About Me

Lisa is currently working on her debut album. This passion for music began at an early age when she started learning the piano. She teaches piano and keyboard as well as playing professionally in the Glenview Hotel, co. Wicklow and as a session pianist/vocalist.Lisa's ever growing music collection ranges from eccentric songwriters like Tori Amos and Bjork to metal bands like Opeth and Anathema, all of which have a collaberative influence on her sound. She is constantly looking for inspiration and has been involved in various projects but she decided to take a different approach with her solo music, focusing mainly on meloncholic and ambient material.
Ready To Unfold EP now available to buy online!
"Lisa has a voice that, for me, borders between Fiona Apple and Sarah McLaughlan. Apologies in retrospect for comparing her to other singers, I freakin hate when people do that, but yeah. Deep, throaty vocals that twist and flip to delicacy when you're least expecting it. Simultaneously beautiful and haunting." HOLLY PEREIRA -The Sessions, 103.2 Dublin City FM
"Lisa Cuthbert is a singer-pianist who writes intelligent songs that are melodically suited to her expressive voice."
""Burden" has tasty harmonies, with Cuthbert's voice echoing the quality of June Tabor and Maddy Prior." JACKIE HAYDEN -Hot Press Magazine
"when you put honesty and creativity together it can only be beautiful" VICTORIA BEST
