PK | Artist Bio
Remember when Rap and Hip-Hop music were fun?
Remember when folks used to go to the club and dance?
PK does - and he’s bringing it back for y’all.
Given his nickname by Cee-lo (Goodie Mob, Gnarls Barkley) when they were both rapping as part of the now legendary Dungeon Family, Pretty Ken has played an instrumental role in forging and shaping Atlanta’s celebrated hip-hop identity. His credentials are undeniable: as a performer, he’s shared the stage with Outkast and countless other A-town legends. As a producer, PK is responsible for some of Youngbloodz and Attic Crew’s biggest and most memorable hits (think “Shake Em Offâ€, “85†and “Dope Boi Freshâ€).
While he’s been content behind the scenes creating hits for other artists, his love for the mic never died. Answering the creative call, PK has recorded a solo album that strives to evoke both the spirit of Hip Hop’s partying past and reinvent the classic Atlanta sound he helped establish.“I wanna show people you can make good music everybody can enjoy without cussing or disrespecting each other. There used to be a time in music when it was about having your own identity and not sounding like everyone else; I feel like it’s time for that to come back so music can continue to grow.â€
