I was born in Massachusetts, grew up for many years on Cape Cod...that was the happiest time of my childhood. It was an absolute children's paradise...we had the beach and a fresh water lake to swim in the summer and skate on in the winter. We moved a few times...Tennessee, then to Missouri. I graduated high school from Clearwater High in Piedmont, Missouri. We lived on a farm, had many animals and a couple of ponds. I am the mother of two beautiful girls, Christine (20) and Lauren (10). They both have such good hearts. Christine recently graduated from Cosmetology School & has her Cosmetology license. Her fiancee, Jason (whom we love) recently joined the Air Force & asked her to marry him so it seems we'll have a wedding somewhere down the road. They will be stationed in New Mexico together. Lauren is so brave, easy going and gets along with everyone. She loves rock climbing and recently started taking piano lessons and loves it. Lauren is a little bitty thing but has no fear...recently she climbed a 75 foot rockwall. She and Christine also each went on a trapeze, Christine even did a flip. I was so afraid to let them do it but they were so brave and determined, I could not to let my own fear interfere with their sense of adventure and zest for life. When Lauren was on the rockwall I could tell it was hard for her at times, but she never gave up. She was so proud of herself afterward and I was so proud of her as well. The girls are so close and love each other immensely. I spent nine years in the Air Force, was stationed at Chanute AFB, IL...March AFB, CA and finally Pope AFB, NC. I left the AF and married the best man in the world. We just moved from Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts to Yorktown, Virginia where my husband is stationed at Langley AFB. Together we've lived in North Carolina, Maryland, Massachusetts & we've just started our latest adventure in Virginia. Wherever our future assignments take us, we will make it our home, just as I've done for the past 17 years. My husband, Travis, is incredibly handsome, brilliant, kind, generous, caring and fun loving. He is the smartest man I know and I am so proud to be his wife. He is a Major in the Air Force and has a MBA. I am so lucky to have found him and consider myself the luckiest girl in the world. He'd find a way to give me the moon and stars if I asked for them. Fortunately he returned safely from Afghanistan after a seven month deployment. I am a Radiologic Technologist and work at Riverside Diagnostic Center in Hampton as a CT Technologist. I love the patients and the healthcare environment. I suppose it's all I knew since my mom was a nurse for over 25 years...RIP... A few things I have no patience for are lying, cheating, stealing, being a "false friend" and any type of dishonesty or unkindness. I believe in treating people as you would like to be treated & trying to imagine someone else's point of view before drawing conclusions. I love life, my family and friends and believe that only boring people get bored. Just like the T shirt's say..."Life is Good."
