About Me

Terminal event:
According to the initial report; ModellBau started, in the grip of winter December 2004, as a fun project with Queenie and Ruth cutting the umbillical cords of Lady!Die and Obsessive Bitches. In a state of critical madness they decided to (quote); "Embark on a dark crusade" (end quote) and play at a coverfestival at the end of 2005. Leyla (con)joined them on bassguitar and after a period of hard practice and with a few guest appearances they turned out to be quite successful at this Coverfestival in November 2005 playing songs from Autopsy, Deftones, S.O.D.,Coal Chamber, Sepultura, Candlemass & Celtic Frost. It was also during this festival that Leyla announced she would leave the band to go play bass with Marie Celeste. Note: A few months later after a number of anonymous phonecalls the police discovered her charred remains at a rehearsal studio in Rotterdam. No one knew exactly what happened here but neighbours spoke of hearing tortured moans of agony prior to the discovery of this twisted mass of burnt decay. The remains were transported to the ME Department for further investigation but up till today there's been no conclusion in this case. During the service held for her vacant coffin salvation came as pagan saviour Mous presented himself as the new ModellBau bassplayer. No further information was applicable then him being a member of Enforcer and ex - Liar Of Golgotha. Due to Queenie and Ruth's love for Autopsy's sweet smell of decay they decided to focus on playing their songs only and " The Autopsy Coverband" was born. Destined to fester without a vocalist Mous decided to give it a try and turned out to have the best set of decomposing vocal chords for the job. After one year of playing as a threesome they searched and found Jimmy, a second guitarist who added some moderate decompositional changes to their performance. Samples were taken and DNA analysis matched: with him they achieved their goal: to create the true Autopsy sound. ModellBau seems to have found their line-up and they hope to do a lot more shows playing Autopsy covers and in the future songs of their own.
