My favorite band is the Magnetic Fields. Despite being a complete music snob, I don't expect you to understand or agree. I'm not going to stand on a pedestal and scoff at you if you don't feel the same way. They're not the "best band in the world", they're just my favorite.
I am also currently thoroughly enjoying Mountain Goats and the Hold Steady. If you don't agree with that, you're nuts-o.
