"Wanna tell you something....." (from the song "Be So Good")
The British invasion continues with the UK's latest (dance star) import LISA B. Growing up outside of London, LISA B's musical journey was inspired early on by the influence of her mother, Jennifer. Listening to Motown R&B favorites like Diana Ross to early Madonna, LISA B was driven to perform. By the age of five, LISA B began performing in musical theatre productions that showcased her love and talent for the arts. Not long after, by the early age of ten, LISA B became one of the founding members of the British all female trio BASIL GIRLS, a forum which allowed her the opportunity to hone her writing and producing skills throughout her teens. Luck continued on her side, when as a young girl and aspiring DANCE DIVA, she along with her sister Justine, recorded one of their singles "Talkin In Your Sleep" at London's famous Monroe Studios, home to some of pop music's biggest stars, including Kylie Minogue.
After auditioning for various UK pop girl groups, which saw their rise in the late nineties, LISA B yearned for greater independence from the pack and ventured over the pond to the United States to pursue the dream of bringing her music to the masses. Once in Hollywood (California), LISA B wrote, produced and recorded several songs including "Be So Good" and "It Ain't Easy".
Currently, LISA B is writing new songs and being inspired to launch her dance career in her new adopted home of Los Angeles. Said to be a mix of early Madonna, techno and dance tracks. LISA B's aim is to produce music that is "positive" and "makes you want to move and live out your dreams" As her song "It Ain't Easy" says...."anything can happen when you believe"
