And I am on my way, to where I've always been...

About Me

Noachide Warrior. Scooterboy. Proud member of the Reservoir gods S.C. New England chapter. That's scooter club, not soccer club, btw. Soul Rebel. Conscientious Hooligan. Just because you're not paranoid, that doesn't mean *THEY* aren't out to get you. G-son; the G to the son. It's pronounced like "Jason," but with a "GRRR!"

My Interests

Old Vespas, Lambrettas, and european motorcycles. Riding into the sun. String Theory. Quantum Mechanics. Amateur-esque Quantum-Physics. Elevation. Buying/listening to records (well, I haven't bought any in a while, but I always keep a good needle on the turntable). My rickenbacker electric 12-string. Analogue synths and sound-manglers. The persuit of beautiful noise. Conspiracy realities. Studying the nature of of the soul. Going to the Source. Narrowly escaping my certain fate. Creating media that hits you like a brick in the face (check out what we've been up to at www.ketchabrick.com)

I'd like to meet:

freedom-fighters, truth-seekers, and other mad prophets...

Music:

Some genres in no particular order: Dub, Rocksteady, old Reggae, Mento (thanks to Popeye and Generoso), Klezmer, Punk (proto, post, street, brit, Oi, hardcore, etc.--I'm not going to list every punk band I like, I'd be here all day), Garage/Psych, Soul (STAX!, Northern Soul, a bit of Motown here and there), Underground hip-hop (the political stuff, not the booty bling-bling business), Folk Music of various sorts, Blue grass, Experimental music, Power Electronics, Krautrock, Spacerock, Post-rock, Shoegazer, old Country, and other totally random stuff, and some music for which no clear genre applies. I'm something of an anachronism-- try me, you might be suprised. Some bands in no particular order: Spacemen 3, My Bloody Valentine, the Fall, Joy Division, Throbbing Gristle, the Silver Apples, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, Stiff Little Fingers, Cocksparer, Radio Birdman, Rocket from the Tomb, (early) Pere Ubu, Dead Boys, Wire, Crime, Buzzcocks, the local New England favorites (Darkbuster, Tommy and the Terrors, Kings o' Nuthin', Mission of Burma, you know who you are...) Swans, Akron/Family, (Confusion is Sex era) Sonic Youth, Glen Branca, Whitehouse, Merzbow, Non (Boyd Rice), Death in June, Nurse With Wound, (early) Current 93, Eyeless in Gaza, Muslimgauze, Fields of the Nephilim (back when they still had the spaghetti western thing going on), Turbonegro, Jeebus and Mary Chain, Ride, Jessamine, Yume Bitsu, Negativland, the Velvets, the Stooges, the Music Machine, MC5, the Creation, the Remains, the Sonics, 13th Floor Elevators, Red Krayola, the Jam, (Lemmy-era) Hawkwind/Motorhead, (early) Gang of Four, (old) Billy Bragg, , Scott Walker, Leonard Cohen, Elliot Smith, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Otis Redding, Elvis Costello, Low, Slowdive, Black Heart Procession, Charlene, Labradford, Suicide, Prolapse, Explosions in the sky, Lee "Scratch" Perry, King Tubby, Prince Buster, the Beat, the Slackers, Anything on Spit Shine International Recordings, Matisyahu (particularly that first album of his, and that live one was pretty good). I could go on and on, but you get the idea, there's tons of other bands I haven't listed, but this is getting out of hand...

Movies:

Currently Network (1976) is my favorite film, I can't watch it too many times. Brazil is possibly one of the best films ever made (suprisingly relevent to our current situation). Jess Franco films. Dario Argento films. Exploitation films, Old Horror films, Russ Meyer films. Drivers Ed and other scare films from any time-period, the Quay Brothers shorts (amazing stop-motion work), random documentaries, Akira Kurosawa films, foreign films in general. Random films: City of Lost Children, Amelie, the Wicker Man (the original, not the cheesey remake), Happiness, Pi, Harold and Maude, Dr. Strangelove, Clockwork Orange, you get the idea...

Television:

rots your brain... I'm not saying I don't watch it occaisionally, I'm just sayin' it sucks eggs, that's all. With a few rare exceptions, but still a waste of time, irregardless...

Books:

Texts both sacred and profane...

Heroes:

The sages of blessed memory (may their merit protect us)...
