The rapper from Detroit, Fame!, broke out beginning with him being the D Heat artist of the week on Hot 102.7fm for his single “This Is Detroit.†Fame! then released his single “Get It Baby,†a sexy seductive bass driven single with a catchy hook. Fame! went right to work and begin promoting himself and the single at the strip clubs and bars with in the city. “Get It Baby†became a quick success in the streets and a demand for performances from Fame! begin to increase. In order to bring a different and entertaining performance Fame! put together a group of girls to perform and promote with him, and called them the “Get It Baby†girls. The addition of the “Get It Baby†girls increased the attention Fame! received when promoting and gave a hole new look to a Hip Hop performance. Fame! and the “Get It Baby†girls increased their performing, promoting, and appearances to 5 nights a week. They have been able to corner a section of Detroit east side clubs such as; Mai Tais, Cals, 8mile Run, Francels, and Rado Lounge. These clubs also include gentleman’s clubs Pretty Women, 007, Minx, and HQs. “Get It Baby†is heavily supported and played in these clubs on a consistent weekly basis. Fame! and the “Get It Baby†girls begin promoting in four major clubs downtown; Plan B, Zoo Bar, St. Andrews, and The Shadow Bar in downtown Hamtramck. With each promotion and performance Fame! and the “Get It baby†girls have expanded their fame and fan base throughout Detroit. Tj, a radio jockey for Fm 98 WJLB attended a performance by Fame! and the “GIB†girls and the next day begin spinning the single on his radio show, “What’s Next on the Menu.†“Get It Baby†is being played daily on 4 or more internet radio stations including Detroit Riot Radio. It has been distributed through the Record Pool of Djs and they have made cable tv performance appearances on D Party and Cartel TV.
