"WE'VE MET THIS FRENCH KID WHO PLAYS INCREDIBLE LEAD GUITAR....LIKE HE'S A FREAK! AND THERE'S THIS KID FROM TRINITY WHO'S A SERIOUSLY JUICED DRUMMER AND THE FOUR OF US ARE GOING TO HAVE A JAM.
CAN YOU BRING MY BASS DOWN TO SCHOOL? AND TENNY WILL NEED THE KEYBOARD.....
When brothers Holden and Tennyson Nobel moved up to the Byron Bay area two
years ago, they teamed up with two other local mates to form HALF NELSON.
Holden and Tennyson (17 & 14) are third generation musicians...they cut their teeth on piano strings. Their Dad is songwriter Ross Nobel and they have spent a lot of uncle-time with some of Australia’s finest musicians. The brothers take care of the brilliant original songwriting and vocals, as well as playing bass, guitar, keys and synth.
Felix Lalanne (16) is ‘the freak guitarist’ and son of drummer Bertrand Lalanne, who brings his awesome guitar playing to the mix.
The finishing touches come from Marley Berry-Pearce (16) who adds his wicked drum beats to each of their exciting original songs....
Together they are a cocktail of rocking energy!
With a fast growing fan base they are rapidly moving from supporting class acts such as Mr. Percival and Ross Nobel and the Upright Men to become an act in their own right.
Their first run of a 4 song EP has already sold out.... raring to get out there and play, they are currently writing songs at a great pace!
All 301 tracks were produced by Murray Burns at 301 Studios, Byron Bay.
All 301 tracks were mastered by Paul Gomersall (George Martin, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins)
