ABOUT YONAS-MICHAEL
In the fall of 2006, YONAS-MICHAEL, underground director and writer, decided to venture into the music world and began writing his debut album. After six months of writing and recording under the management of friend Nicole Kutz, Yonas signed with Shocker Records and released his 1st single "Partykill" in April 2007, followed by his debut album PARTYKILL in May 2007. The album, which was entirely written by him, included songs about avoiding high school drama, living among "stupid" people, being "third wheel", and crashing parties. Though it did so-so on the web, there were complaints on its unpolished sound and its over-reliance on samples. After finding a small but strong audience on the Internet, he released a 2nd single "I Really Dislike You" from the album.
After taking the summer to become reinspired, Yonas-Michael decided to continue with his music career and decided to work on his sound. In the fall of 2007, two new tracks titled "Who Can He Trust" and "Mr. Shameless" were leaked onto the Internet and were met with positive feedback. So he dove head-on into work for his sophomore album and wrote 20 tracks for the album, of which 15 were recorded. After releasing his first single in months "Go Crazy" in December 2007, Yonas-Michael released his sophomore album ORDINARY BOY in January 2008. That same month, he released his controversial 2nd single "Alpharetta", which criticized his hometown and its superficiality, and an infamous music video which involved a suicidal plot. The song remains his biggest single as well as his most criticized. In the following months, Yonas-Michael released numerous singles and music videos for "Damn!", "Victim of a Crush", "Mr. Shameless", and lastly "In the Rearview Mirror". The album was said to be his best work yet.
Despite his decision to walk away from the music scene after the summer of 2008, Yonas-Michael prepped for his third and final studio album, which was a sequel to his second record. ORDINARY BOY 2.0: The Departure marked his most critically acclaimed album, as well as his shortest one. Featuring six all-new songs and three previously unreleased ones, the album was released June 27th, 2008. His 1st single "For One Night Only" and his 2nd single "Robot", both released simultaneously before the album release. While the music video for "For One Night Only", shot completely in Italy, came a week later, the music video for "Robot" was scrapped and never released. Instead, he released a music video for his bonus track, "I Kissed a Girl". In July 2008, Yonas-Michael released a 3rd single, "Disappointed", with a music video boldly parodied teen depression and drug use.
After releasing his 4th single "Through the Line" in August, Yonas-Michael will be releasing a greatest hits album. WEAPON OF MASS DYSFUNCTION: YONAS-MICHAEL'S GREATEST HITS will be released in late August and will feature a new track "Weapon of Mass Dysfunction" as well as a new version of his hit "Alpharetta".

Rock band THE AFFLUENCE says:
" Alpharetta
makes me wanna have sex on acid. The random sounds and speaking kinda remind me of Incubus. Sometimes you can't tell what the hell you're saying, but i think that's what makes the song original."
