I have become a wave, a wave without a shore.

About Me

Just an average guy: probably better than some, definitely worse than others!
COOL MySpace Comments
+ Favorite colors: crimson, charcoal grey & infantry blue.
+ Favorite beer: Sam Adams Boston Lager. Especially when it's on tap.
+ Favorite mixed drink: Bombay Sapphire & tonic. Don't forget the lime!
+ Favorite hard alcohol: Hennessy cognac. It's my grandfather's drink. :-)
+ Favorite restaurants: Legal Sea Foods, Commander's Palace, Ruth's Chris, Vinnie Testa's and Dinosaur BBQ. Everything on their menus is excellent!
+ I love my friends like my extended family. Their children call me Uncle (or Tío) Pat. :-)
+ I've concluded that most people will argue over almost anything and really don't need too much of a reason to do the worst things imaginable to one another.
+ Assuming the existence of a Higher Power, any relationship that I may have with the Divine does not require a middleman.
+ I don't mind flying, but I despise spending time in airports.
+ Tardiness angers me. Must be all the time I've spent cooling my heels at airports due to missed connecting flights.
+ People who whine, nag and complain incessantly are my special pet peeve.
+ I am now officially too old to be staying up all night partying. I wake up feeling like someone brutally beat me, followed by some wild animal using my mouth as their latrine while I slept. :-(
+ Insane women can emit a powerful pheromone which draws me to them.
+ One day soon, I will master the Jedi mind trick. :-)
+ I firmly believe that Dunkin' Donuts has some addictive secret ingredient in their coffee.
+ Always pack light & be ready to move out quickly.
+ I'm really not cool with anyone who tries stabbing, shooting or blowing me up.

My Interests

Ongoing quest for inner peace and enlightenment, Kendo, catching up with old friends over many cold drinks, social justice issues, Subaru SPT, HIN/HID, and getting away from the office.

Until a new game comes out that catches my interest, the 360 is just an overpriced DVD player.

Someday soon, I will get a THAI RIDGEBACK PUPPY!

I'd like to meet:

I'm just enjoying the egalitarian atmosphere of MySpace -- maybe I'll run into some old friends that I've lost touch with.

And in no particular order, everyone that I don't actually know on my friends list!

Music:

I basically listen to everything. I may not like every song by every artist, but there's usually something from every genre that I think is good. All time favorites include 10K Maniacs, Counting Crows, Cowboy Junkies, Dire Straits, Springsteen, & U2.

Enjoy live bands? Check out my buddy Eric play his guitar with THE SHALITAS!

Movies:

Star Wars, Pulp Fiction, Brazil, Akira Kurosawa samurai movies, old Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns, The Dirty Dozen, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Forrest Gump and The Magnificent Seven.

I'm finally seeing all the movies I wanted to see when they were in the theaters now that I got Netflix.

Television:

Jericho, Heroes, Supernatural, Dexter, The Venture Bros., The Boondocks, and Naruto. I just started getting into Lost.

Books:

The Alchemist (El alquimista: Una fábula para seguir tus sueños), The Human Comedy, The Tao of Pooh, Starship Troopers, and Catch-22.

Still love anything that Frank Miller (300 & Sin City) or Mike Mignola (Hellboy) puts out. I also will always flip through any Calvin and Hobbes collection that people leave on their bookshelf.

Will usually read anything a friend highly recommends, except if its an Oprah or Kelly Ripa Book Club selection.

Heroes:

Everyone who has supported me, defended me, and provided me with opportunities to excel over the years.

I have been very fortunate to have skilled and caring teachers throughout my life. They may have been a parent, peer, professor, sergeant major, judge or sensei, but they all spent considerable time and effort shaping and preparing me for the rigors of this life.
