Expressive, honest, and always engaging, Florenciani radiates on the concert stage, giving something uniquely special to an often enthusiastic audience. The singer unabashedly fuses Inspirational music with Pop and Rock, and draws from his cultural influences in Latin and Dance music to complete his musical statement.
Born in the South Bronx to an Italian father and Puerto Rican mother, Florenciani spent his early days honing his craft singing in church. In Manhattan's theater district, and in Greenwich Village, he established his live act as a singer-songwriter. He recorded the single "Living Without Love", which became a minor hit.
The New York native's background in theater also afforded him an acting career, starring in the Off-Broadway hits "With Me But Not My Wife" and "Boys".
Florenciani then moved to Hollywood where he rediscovered his Gospel roots at the Metropolitan Community Church and emerged as a Contemporary Christian Artist.
"I like to think of my music as Inspirational World music," he said. "Music keeps me in touch with my true spirit."
He can be seen and heard singing the songs of the Great American Songbook, as well as Pop and Broadway tunes, every Thursday at the Hollywood Studio Bar and Grill in Hollywood in the spring of 2010.
"He sings not only from the gut, but from the heart."
