From a very early age Lee's mum knew he was extremely talented as well as a keen singer. When Lee was seven his mum introduced him to the world of entertainment getting the young singer cameo appearances at public events performing a selection of diffrent kindes of musical numbers.
At nine years old he made his first television debut having won the 'Children at Heart' talent contest and went on to sing live on the BBC with country star and T.V. personality Hugo Duncan for the Children in need appeal. Lee also released his first amateur cassette album entitled 'Hey Good Looking' a selection of pop, country and ballads.
When Lee was ten years old he won first place in an Esat Digifone talent competition and was rewarded with appearances on stage with acts such as Sandy Kelly, Kieran Mc Gilligan and Michael English.
At age eleven Lee was chosen to represent Ireland at the world championships for performing arts in Los Angeles, California. He traveled with 25 other Irish contestants to compete against 1200 hopefuls from around the world.
He won a Gold, a Silver and two Bronze medals.
On the 6th September 2002 in New York Lee joined Ronan Tynon of the 'Irish Tenors' and a host of other American artists at the famous Javits Convention Centre for a concert to remember the victims of the September 11th attacks on New York. Lee also joined RTE's Gerry Ryan at Ground Zero when he sang 'Fields of Gold' at a special wreath laying ceremony
