Kerberos

About Me

What was not born,
And does not die,
Looks down on you
With unseen eyes,

And some to pass,
And some to fall,
And some day soon,
I claim you all.

Tis but a thread,
A brittle thread,
That holds the living,
From the dead,

So weave together,
And hold on tight,
For some day soon,
Could be tonight.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Eric (guitar/vocals)
Keith (bass)
Joey (drums)
Influences: As far as bands, here is a short list of a few: Opeth, Mudvayne, At the Gates, Pantera, Chimaira, Divine Heresy, In Flames, Lamb of God, Machine Head, Sepultura, Slayer, etc.

Other influences include: The desire to hear the music that nobody else wrote yet, so we are doing it, the love of performance, and more specifically for our stylistic genre and lyrical content, the desire for a variety of the comlexities of experience to be translated into audible form, refined and reproduced in an original way.
Sounds Like: Many bands in this section will reproduce a list of other bands to use as comparison, but we would rather provide a written explanation of the basis of our sound and what we strive for, starting with an itemized description of each instrument:

The guitar in this band consists of brutal heavy riffs, haunting clean parts, and crazy fast technical death metal with hooks and melodic intricacies that will keep you coming back for more,

Monster bass, painstakingly crafted to intertwine with the guitar and compliment it perfectly.

Forceful percussion with a deep, dark tone and texture, with solid fast double-bass, intricate technical parts and drum fills, all designed to be not just mere rhythm, but a voice of its own, particpating in the musical conversation between the instruments, and providing a solid backbone to the beast that is Kerberos.

The vocals cross the full spectrum, with agressive forceful yelling, deep powerfull death metal growling, spine-chilling high pitched screams, and provocative melodies.

This is all woven together and perfectly balanced to create a musical rollercoaster that imitates life with its ups and downs, daysides, and nightsides, and often unpredictability, and is something that, once experienced, won't be soon forgotten!
