Hello, this is me!
At the moment I play drums for Thee Apple Thieves and Scarlett. Some of the earlier bands I played in are Skiz, Union District, Black Lines and Valium77. All my bands have somewhat fallen into categories like punk, rock or alternative since that's the type of music I really enjoy listening and am capable of playing.
But I don't want to limit myself too much, so I'm always open to new ideas and new styles, it just might take a while to learn how to play the new stuff! I really like to jam with my friend Sasu (We Are Soulless) since it always opens new doors for me. He's propably the most creative musical force I've ever got to play with! And we both share the passion for the old time jazz drumming and drummers. I'm talking about drummers like CHICK WEBB, GENE KRUPA, LIONEL HAMPTON, LOUIE BELLSON, PAPA JO JONES, SONNY PAYNE, the list goes on... These were people with uncompareable talent and musicality. They all had a voice of their own and really pushed the boundaries of the drum set. Something you hardly see these days. Most importantly I respect the passion and energy these people had! That's something I can only hope to find in myself.
Some of the other stuff I enjoy besides music is jogging, playing badmington and watching Ultimate Fighting and K1. I don't do martial arts myself but I really like watching it 'cause I can imagine the dedication and skill it requires.
I study music technology (recording, mixing etc.), so I hope in the future I'm working in a music studio or doing something else music related. And ofcourse playing more drums!
