About Me

Naked City's music is in its in most canonical form a (de)composed series of genre fusing post-modern classicist bombs, shifting in and between jump-cutting micro-collages of absurdist Thrashcore grinding, cryptical dark ambient soundscaping, high-tempo Country serialist jams, droning lucid musique concrete, sleazed Free-Jazz club-Blues dowsed in guzzling whiskey and some traditionally brief n' abstracted surf n' roll improv tussles — a whole regressionist city crammed into micro-in-time though macro-in-space bursts and dadaistic belches. So, from a historical view, it not only influenced an entire plethora and avant-garderners and modern experimentalists, but also took the conception of what music is to utter infinity. It's no longer a question of "what is the meaning of music?", but a question of "is looking for the meaning in music the meaning of music?", which naturally begs the question "does a meaning even matter?". No meaning is needed. No question is asked. It's what it is - Music! Freedom! Naked City!!!
