Happy birthday Diane!!!
I've had a very busy weekend. Friday, I tried my besteous to just CHILL, but that didn't really happen. I ended up helping my parents plastic cover the entire carpet for Sunday's event, which I thought was actually going to be on Saturday. Saturday, I woke up, and cleaned my room (very clean by the way), and afterwards, I helped my parents prep all the items that I again, THOUGHT was going to be on Saturday. But I found out Saturday around 2pm, that it was going to be on Sunday, Hmong people are so random and so not on schedule, EVER!!!!! that's how you know you're Hmong! Ryan came over and we went out for dinner, that was nice! Then we came back to my place and chilled. Before we knew it, it was time for me to mand my dutie as GREEN LADY!!!! I went over to Kia's place. I ended up crashing over there & that was actually the very first time I had ever heard of the Green lady sleeping over at the brides place. Wierd!! We didn't get to sleep until about 12:30pm because we were prepping food for the next day and cleaning up too!! Sunday morning, RISE N SHINE!!! 5am, we were off again cookin' and prepping. I have a blister on my finger from choppin' up heads of lettus. But they had good food!!! Yummay!!! Eggrolls. Always good! We were so busy runnin' around I barely had time to do my dutie and follow Kia around. I kept saying to myself, "if I keep hanging around Kia like this, she's gonna file a restraining order on me" ha ha ha. By the time we were done w/ everything it was about 4:30?? And that when we were set to wear our Hmong clothing. Gosh I'm fat. My outfit made me feel HUGE! ha ha ha. I need to lose weight. Anyway, we were standing there for an HOUR listening to them hais lus txia. We look some pictures of course it wasn't on my camera, it was on Kia's familie's camera's so.. DARN it. Then the drinkin' came, and it wasn't as bad as I thought, so YAY for me. Finally we came to my house, and I changed out of Hmong clothes. I also got myself $20!! Over all everything was pretty good. I learned more about the Hmong wedding from BOTH sides of religious views. The traditional non-Christian side and over to the Christian side. It was nice. Then I got to take a couple of sips of beer and I got paid for it. Ha ha ha. Awesome. Everything paid off in it's own sense. Today, I worked 7am-2pm. I'm done for the day. Just resting until I have dinner w/ Jon & Ryan. Then I go home and rest. I had a pretty nice day @ work too. Subreena. I LOVE YOU. Stephanie I MISS YOU SO MUCH :( SABRINA. I hope you're feeling better. SARAH. Gosh it's been forever since we've hung out I miss you. I wanna see pictures of your trip. MY "s" girls.
