About Me

A funny thing happened to me on my way to atheism...I became a Christian. Why? In a word, the evidence. As an agnostic I wanted to get rid of all vestiges of God but I wanted to do so with honesty and intellectual integrity so I studied the arguments for God's existence. The evidence, to my chagrin at the time, was overwhelming that God is. I realized that science pointed to God and that science at the same time had it's limits. The argument for God from cosmology is straightforward and I have yet to hear an atheist tackle it head on. I went on numerous atheist sites to have someone, anyone, show me that they could dismantle this argument. I wanted a way out of the logical conclusion. No one even came close. Most avoided the obvious like their life depended on it--which in a sense it does--and there were the endless red herrings; a multiverse--any evidence?--the oscillating theory of the universe--died a death by evidence a long time ago; imaginary time--good name for it; not to mention poor understandings of science by the atheist--the first law comes to mind--and on it went. Abiogenesis? Not enough time. The Cambrian explosion? Nothing Darwinian about it. No natural explanation makes any sense. And on it goes... I just didn't have enough faith to be an atheist. So with some dejection I read the holy books of the world. I read the Bible, the Koran, Buddhist writings, the Tao Te Ching, Jainist writings, the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh, the Bhagavad Gita and other Hindu writings, Zoroastrian writings, New Age writings, etc,... Not having been raised in a Christian home I had no particular partiality to any point of view. This allowed me to be more unbiased than those raised in Christian or atheist homes. In the end the decision was fairly easy. Based on more evidences than I could possibly even begin to list here I found that the Bible was free from scientific error. It should be full of scientific mistakes--all the other books were. In fact, I found it free from ANY kind of error which is not to say that I didn't find problems. But then I find problems in science, history, literature, philosophy, and every other discipline known to man. Further study has just shown the reliability of the Bible and our science today is in beautiful accord with what the Bible does say about things that can be tested.FIVE REASONS TO BELIEVE IN GOD:ONExONE video

Who Created God?

It is easy to make an argument for God's existence from a cosmological standpoint. As the years have gone by, a growing amount of scientific data has accumulated which negates atheistic assumptions ab...

How Old is The Earth?

This question is perhaps first approached by asking, "Who cares?" There are at least three types of concerns about this issue. Some feel that there is a biblical question involved, because they have b...

What About All Those Mistakes in the Bible?

There are a lot of reasons for this challenge being difficult. One problem is that the original manuscripts were not in English; and translation then becomes an issue. Another problem is that the Bibl...
