BIO
BRYAN(left) Born in Guatemala City, Bryan began pursuing his musical ambitions writing his first songs at the young age of 11. By 14 he knew music and the stage were his calling when he formed the 5 member group CONTACTO. The "mereng-house" group was hugely popular in his native country of Guatemala with Bryan credited for writing 8 number one hits on his country's charts. After changing their name to CTO in 2002 the group came to the US appearing on television, radio and the stage in a successful summer tour. They performed their hit song "Manos Arriba"on Univision’s CALIENTE , NBC’s Wayne Brady Show and at numerous festivals, concerts and parades for radio station LATINO MIX and opened for greats such as Luis Fonsi, Sin Bandera and Don Omar. After recording 3 CD's and performing in hundreds of live concerts with CTO (Contacto) it was the explosion of popularity of Reggaeton onto the music scene that made Bryan decide he was ready to move on to a new chapter in his music career. When Daddy Yankee and Don Omar started to introduce tropical sounds into their music Bryan "clicked" with the idea of making a full fusion of salsa, merengue and reggaeton. Which led him to Edwin...
EDWIN (right) Born in El Salvador and raised in Guatemala, Edwin was a natural born muscician. By his teen years he was invited to record with several different music groups in Guatemala and invited to join one of the most popular Merengue groups - El Groupo Rana. Edwin wrote 3 songs for Rana and toured the US in 2004 and 2005 with the group, opening for greats like Don Omar and Ivy Queen.
BRYAN & EDWIN LOS MAMBOTEROS While still performing with CTO Bryan decided to record his first reggaeton song "Esa Mujer" and invited Edwin to sing as a guest. While in the studio it became apparent to everyone that their individual sounds made a great combination....a full fusion of salsa, merengue, R&B - Reggaeton with tropical flavor.
