..Melodical Crunch-Power-Pop, as well as magical and mystical are pretty acurate descriptions of the music of Larry Harrison. Harrison has been writing songs and playing music into his forth decade. His influences have been everthing from the broadway musicals that predated TV, such as Rogers and Hammerstein's work, to the more modern greats such as Andrew Lloyd Webber, and from the Beatles to Yes and all in between. You will have to make your own decision as to what catagory, for some of his music seems to almost be rock-cabaret in some instances. At any rate the music on this site are demos and are mixtures of new and old. The songs here have copyrights and many were recorded years ago but some more recent, and after a long break from music in the 90's, Larry is back writing and stirring up new batches of rocking and melodic brews once again. It has been said that Larry writes far beyond the melody and he's always thinking of arrangements. It has also been said that there is a spiritual quality that permiates most of Harrison's music that stirrs the mind and soul. Harrison's father always said that his lyrics were his strengths but Larry says, "I think my strength is probably the melodies and catchiness of the tunes, but work hard on the whole package." We are hoping to have Harrison's first album release shortly. for it is currently being remixed and mastered by Producer Don McCollister who has had huge success with gold and platinum albums with the likes of Sister Hazel, the Indigo Girls, and Shawn Mullins for starters. Shouldn't be too much longer now!
