Scream of a Butterfly was founded in October 2004 as a Coverband called eye witness in Neuhaus/Rwg.(Thuringia/Germany). After some rehearsals we played coversongs at birthdays, parties etc.
2005 .. The year of perception:
In the middle of the year we decided to work on own songs. Alongside we played support-gigs almost regularly for diverse local coverbands.
..Progressive Alternative Rock.. would describe best the Sound of Scream of a Butterfly. Experimental items as well as rocking items flow into the songs of the band and the lyrics deal with ordinary events, which are often treated as neutral, but here they'll get their needed attention.
In April 2006 the recording for the first Demo CD "No Curtains" was finished and the CD is now available at our shows and per mailorder.
2007 our drummer Litz left the band because of time problems. After many changes we only could find our new drummer Maik at the end of the year.
Now the recording for our second Demo CD is also completed and we're excited to play some shows this summer.
