"Welcome on this page linked to CFTJ's site actively engaged in the struggle against the death penalty in the United States, and more particularly in the "Biblical Belt."

I created the association "Coalition for Truth and Justice" in 1999. The association fights for the respect of human rights especially for the first of the rights : the RIGHT TO LIVE.
Death penalty is not deterrent, it is an atavistic regression to Barbary. it's average cost is $$ 2,316,355 vs $$ 750,000 for life without parole. It doesn't help the victims' families and friends.
To execute a man tarnishes the Humanity's conscience.

PRISON S ARE PEOPLE !!!!!!
Surely prison's are people too
kindred spirits human being
just like me and you
Be they're Black, White, Red or Yellow
Buddhist, Christian, Moslem, Jane or Jew
They have a beaten heart, a soul
thoughts and minds, emotion, loves and hates
caring and devotion, dreaming, planning.
A hug a kiss with friends and family whom they miss dearly.
Sadness embraces them sorrow grip,
the tears they shed are just as real
if they are cut, they will bleed,
when hungry they must feed
they feel heartbreak, fear and desolation
Lonely and uncared for in their isolation
The powers that be have found them
guilty of a certain crime.
Now behind prison bars doing their time
Why must we add scorn and enmity
Sometime on it could be you and me.
Surely we can find some compassion.
There are many, many doors and bars,
and walls, that separate so many kinds,
But lets us not perpetrate any further crimes.
By putting prisons bars and walls around our minds and body
