G.C. Nelson was born and raised in Dayton and Germantown Ohio where growing up he played his guitar and sang in the church with his three brothers John, Tony, and Vernon Lee. As teenagers G.C. and cousins (Ron,Vernon Jr., David and Walter Jr.) formed the Instrumental Five,these young men were blessed to play for churches,camp meetings and youth federations throughout the mid-west,eastern, and southern states. G.C. has proven himself to be an integral part of the gospel music circuit with over 40 years of accompaniment and lead guitar experience playing with local bands and nationally known artists, such as Eleanor Wright, and Clifton Davis. He is a vocalist as well having shared the stage with gospel artists such as Reg Reid, Angela Bryant- Brown, Denise Barclay, John Stoddard, Kim Palmer, and Gilcrest Sprauve.
