Stun Gun Jones formed in 2005. Formerly "Inphadelic," The band consists of the following line up:
Deven Finnie has been a fixture in the local music scene for many years. An accomplished guitar player and vocalist, he has fronted several bands including Blind Curve and The Notion.
Jack Hammer has the distinction of being a founding member of the 80’s group Steel Breeze. He also served as the drummer for the very popular band, The Batteries, a group that opened for such acts as The Fixx, The Tubes, and Missing Persons.
Sean Ford, lead guitarist, is a GIT man. He has fronted such local bands as Sluggo and White Silence. Sean builds many of his own guitars. His personal influences range from Carlos Santana and Randy Rhoads to Eric Johnson.
Sam Salerno started playing with Sean in the 80's with the local band "White Silence." Sam has also been a part of area bands that have ranged from bluegrass to hard rock. A student of music, this bassist delves into Big Band, folk, and American musicals as side projects when not involved with Stun Gun Jones.
Jacqui Saunders, the lead singer, hails from Northern California. The junior member of the group, Jacqui is somewhat new to the music world. A vocalist with an excellent range and an amazing ear, she fronts the band with grace, style, and all the right stuff musically.About our name: Sam came across an article entitled "Things You Need to Know about American Hobos" in an anthology. At the end of the mostly tongue-in-cheek piece, some humorous and unlikely hobo monikers were listed. Well, Stun Gun Jones stuck for us. We figure there's a traveling vagabond in every drunken pilgrim's heart--we thought we'd hitch a ride. If you're in Monterey, come check us out. We hope to see you out on the road!
