About Me

Our A&R manager once said that our music is "cruel like Finnish nature". Yeah, our music was - and still is - raw but beautiful.
When we started in 1994, we bluffed the record company into thinking that we were the first official grunge band in Finland, and so we got a record deal. It was not true; there was Sielun Veljet, Mana Mana and Psychoplasma playing grunge ages before we did. But it was true partially, because when we first heard Nirvana, it was like Metallica playing The Beatles. So maybe there was a grungy edge in us, the combining of pop melodies with spiky guitars.
Anyway, we played for ten years and then split up. We made five albums "Trukilla yli vaikeuksien" (1995), "Ahmatti" (1997), "Laavaa" (1998), "Saippua" (2000) and "Halaus" (2003). We were very dedicated to our music and those albums are still worth listening to. You can find them at libraries or second hand record shops.
We did a "come back and come away" -tour to release our compilation album "Taskuelokuvia 1994-2004" (with two unreleased songs, one from the Ahmatti-sessions and the other from the Halaus-sessions) in February 2007. We were all there: all the players from each line-up performed. The rehearsals and gigs were a lots of fun. We played superb songs in good spirit in front of very satisfied audience. Thank you!
