Elder Tony V. Rivers Sr. was born in Saginaw, Michigan. He presently resides in Saginaw Township with his beautiful wife Markisha N. Rivers sons Tony V. Rivers II and Jonathan M. Rivers. His parents were the late Mary E. Rivers and James W. Williams Sr. He was raised with his twin sister LaToya M. Rivers. He currently works for Saginaw Control and Engineering in Saginaw, Michigan.
Elder Rivers is a 1995 Honor Roll Graduate of Saginaw High School where he received various awards such as “Investing in Ability Week Education Dayâ€. He is a 2001 Graduate of Spoken Word Bible Training Center in which he obtained a 2 ½ year Diploma in Theology and will be returning soon to further his education in Christian Counseling.
He became a member of Word of Faith International Ministries in 1995 and accepted Christ in his life at the age of seventeen. Elder Rivers received a Call on his life through God’s Word (Acts 26:16-18) in 1995 of which he was ordained as a Licensed Minister in August of 2003. He serves currently as Chief Arm-our-bearer, Holy Spirit Teacher, leads the Street Ministry and has been involved in the Jail Ministry.
Elder Rivers ministers with unction to encourage God’s people to stand for what God has said concerning them. He has character and specific goals for the future. He is a Spirit filled, Holy witness with a purpose to open God’s people’s eyes and to turn them from darkness to light, from the power of satan to the Power of God. Elder Rivers is Founder/CEO of Tony V. Rivers Ministries/Weapons of Warfare, designed from(2 Cor. 10:4). He believes “Your Out Look On Life is Determined By Your Inward Look Of Yourself†and “God's Not Starting You To Quit You And He's Not Getting You Up Too Fail Youâ€.
