About Me
Charles Rao was born on Feb. 28, 1988. He grew up in an environment where electronic music was not greatly appreciated. During his younger years, a short boom of electronic music reached the U.S. but sadly the U.S. didn't grasp onto the music. That soon died down. Then after experiencing many different music tastes such as hip hop, rock, metal, and R&B, in middle school he found his calling: the beautiful beats and just right rhythms of electronic music. In those moments with the artists that inspire him to this day (Atb, Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Burren, 4 Strings, and many more) he finally could escape reality and live in the night of his own fantasy world whenever he liked. But he still felt that wasn't enough. He wanted the world around him to feel the ecstasy of the night life, the feeling of being free, and the joy that filled his heart when the music suddenly shifted into something unpredictable and wild. He wanted to see the crowd go wild; the power of feeling like he was in control of the bodies below him. He is now 18, a rookie DJ, trying to contribute to the spread of the bliss of dance music everywhere. Enjoy the music and let the vibrations shake you up, the beats help pump you up, and the rhythms become your theme song(s) like they are to him. People these days are often pulled back from stress, drama and frustration. I am one of those people, but I say this quote and let everything go and worry about what's yet to come rather than other bullshit. What can I say? I'm am 18 year old guy, trying to get through high school, living life like practically any1 else. Like all teens I like to party, meet new people and jus pretty much be a lazy bum. life may not be the party we hoped for
but while were here we might as well dance.
As a rookie DJ, I listen to all types of music..except country. I love Electronic Dance Music (EDM) which is often referred to as "Techno" I listen to a lot of House, Dance, Trance and anything of that culture.I live my life like music...Invisible but everywhere. I let the music make my path in life. Where does urz take u?
Song Descriptions:
Function: Function was one of the very first songs I've ever made. This song really has no story to it, but it was inspired by Blank & Jones' :"Mind Of the Wonderful". This was something I was experimenting with when I first got Musical Production Software. To my unexpectation, it was a hit to all my friends, and they seem to like it very much. I'm very grateful to you guys and to all that have made a place for function in their hearts. Thank U.
Euphoric Tension: My second musical piece was inspired by a time in my life where I had first began to realize how harsh life really is. A time when I thought I'm very grateful to be where I am right now, although there have been many times where I regret doing something. But when I listen to the actually synths, the strings and the beat itself it takes me back to a time where I was really grateful for all I have, where I was actually genuinely happy for all I had, I had begun to fall in love, I had everything I could want at that time. But life changes, and you have to accept the changes as they come and make good use of them. That's what drives me, that Euphoria of the past and how I can use them in this very present.
Unrealistic: This was piece was actually a collaboration of talent and desire. I've had the pleasure of working with DJ Nikko on this piece and it's was a very pleasing one. The song sounds like a technoish-trancy kind of feel, and to my liking it sounds like a real party starter. The dark bells kind of seduce the listener to listen to the whole thing and hopefully gets them interested. When you get a chance, check out DJ nikko's talent, much similar taste, different aspects, which was why I chose to work with him, Awesome guy and a great friend.
Board-Walk:Ha. This has to be my favorite production out of all my productions. This was what I was actually aiming for when it came to producing music. This piece was inspired through the wonderful and pleasing, and sometimes unpleasing experience of my (what used to be) one year and 10 month relationship. This song is dedicated to the person who always held me up high, the person who had helped me stand up in my times of sadness, this song is dedicated to someone who was my other half, my guidance, my best friend: Jenna. Every chord, every string and every element put into this song was brought out from all the kisses shared, the hugs received, the tears shed, and every day spent together.Rabia: This song was written b/c of the painful breakup of my relationship. All the pain and emotions I suffered went into this song, because there isn't any other way I could express it. She's moved on, and I should be doing the same. I would like to dedicate this song to all the friends that stood by me in my times of hardship. Especially Nicole and Jenny. They pwn. They helped me out and were always there to pick me up when I was feeling down. Nicole is by far the fucking coolest bitch I know. And Jenny is also the motherfucking greatest brown person out there. I was never able to pick myself up until they came and helped me. This song is also dedicated to all who have had their heart broken b/c of a relationship. So Enjoy All!
