Juan Carlos Enriquez - Film Composer

About Me

Born in March 10, 1990 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, composer Juan Carlos Enriquez began as a self-taught musician, learning on his own how to play the piano, the bass, the guitar and the drums. His first serious formal music training began when he was 16 years old as he enrolled into the recently inaugurated Academia de Musica Fermatta in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
As an Academia de Musica Fermatta student, he began his harmony, ear training and arranging classes with the celebrated guitarist and Berklee College of Music Alumnus Werther Ellerbrock.
With a particular specialty in scoring soundtrack music for film, video, and other interactive media, Juan Carlos Enriquez is an emerging composer with an intimate style, quality that can be perceived in his projects.
His most recent projects include Everlasting, an album with his most recent orchestral and piano compositions.
More recently, he composed the music for a mexican short film that will be screened later this year in the international event "Infomatrix 2009" held annually in Bucharest, Rumania.
He is currently enrolled in Berklee College of Music and is pursuing a career as a film composer.
"To me, playing music is a very high calling: it is a responsibility, and a sacred trust. Making music may sometimes be difficult and sometimes fun -- but for me at least, it is first, last and always a pleasure, an honor and a joy."
