LAZY BEAR

ok, my name is lazy bear. i am a man from the redcliff band of the mighty ojibwe nation. i am proud of my people. ya, our fight agaisnt the white people didnt work in the end but we tried and died proud. ive realized that all of our old ways dont work. we cant live by our old ways. but we can prove our worth as men and women of our tribes by doing what we use to but in a way that will work legaly in this society of the united states of america. our men would get married and have children and they would hunt and fish to provide food for our familys. the women would take care of our children and our lodges. but we cant do it the old way. but we can still do it. our men can get jobs so they have money to buy food and drinks. that way they are providing for a family as they did in the old days. our women can take care of the kids and manage our lodges the same as they did. it all works out. we just need to realize that our old ways are done. we can still have caeremony, we can still hunt and fish. BUT WE CAN NO LONGER FIGHT WITH GUN,LANCE,BOW, AND CLUB. IF WE WANT TO FIGHT WE MUST FIRST GET TO A POINT WERE WE HOLD SUM POWER IN THIS SOCIETY. WE WILL PROVE THE WHITES WRONG.but enough of my revolutionary speeches. im kinda a simple man. i tried the old ways but they didnt work. so i am now using the new ways. but i found a girl that i love. i performed a marrige ceremony. we are now married. and i truly do love her. if she decides we cant be together and we must split our ways, i will go to the land of my ancestors and i will lay down by the lake and kill myself. thats really all there is to it. i know she loves me. and i know we will never split. but if we do that will be the end of me. i love this girl so much that if she asked me to cut out my beating heart and give it to her i would. her name is linnea. she is from missuri. i truly love her and i hope she knows that. we are trying to have a kid. and i will provide for our family. the problem is that we are still very young. her parents hate me and they have never even met me. i will go to her house when i get back with the gifts of food and tobacco and ask to have a sit down conversation with her parents. i will be polite and respectful. but i will deliver my points with enough power to stop the wind. i believe that love will over come any and all obsticals. it has in the past and it will again.
