Well, my name is matt baughman and i was in the Marine Corps for nearly 11 1/2 years and then i had a brain fart and joined the national guard so that i could recruit for them. after the blessed "stimulus" bill was signed i am no longer a recruiter for the national guard but instead am a military rep for a college so i get the best of both worlds: i have a real job and i can still serve amongst my brethern. i am still in the national guard and i am fixin to put in a officer package so i can continue to develop myself as a professional and at the same time serve my country. My time in the Marine Corps was some of the best and worst years of my life and i will forever remember them as long as i live however i do not look at my time in the Corps as a finished chapter in my life but instead i look at it as a finished book. The Marine Corps had treated me well allowing me to gain a free education (AA, BA, MBA(in the works...someday)) and if you knew me way back in high school you would have never believed i be so educated (bless my wifes heart), travel the world, live in Hawaii and to raise a family.
To all my Marines out there, it was a good ride, you will always have a place in my heart and will continue to be in my prayers. Semper Fi. Lastly and more importantly I want the world to know and recognize MY heros: Police Officer David Poling (KILOD), Police Officer James Archeletta (KILOD) Sgt Andrew Farrar and PO3 Travis Youngblood (KIA, HIT,IRAQ), R.I.P. my friends, your service to our country has made the world a safer place; I look forward to one day regrouping with you all in heaven. RAH! ..
