Ahh, the bio. The place where the band uses a little text box and words to describe what type of sound they make. Somewhat ironic, but we'll continue nonetheless.
This Came From High School is exactly that. The band consists of 5 members who are all currently in high school. We all have a few years background on our respective instruments, so we like to think we know what were doing. This isnt your archetypal music is cool, looks easy, lets play! type band. Unfortunately, we arent sure exactly what type of band we are. We have been called emo fags, but we arent necessarily 100% emo. Some have also said we are pop punk, but that is a completely off as well. And I know what youre thinking: The next line is going to say We are a mix of both emo and pop punk!. Well, I hope we arent that predictable, and to avoid becoming said, I highly doubt thats how we would classify ourselves.
Hopefully the best way to describe the band is simply This Came From High School. Not emo. Or rock. Or alternative. Or folk. Just, simply, This Came From High School. Around the 2003-2004 year we started to play music with each other as a quartet. We learnt around 9 covers until we realized that the only point of a cover is when you have no musical creativeness and have to play covers to cover yourself from financial debt. And we still live with our parents. So, to avoid becoming hypocrites, we decided it was time to write our own music. You all are a pretty angry group of youngsters. I remember someone saying that to me once. It deserves to be recognized as fact. We are an angry group of youngsters. We have a vengeance for exs, illogical actions, tacos, and anyone or anything that tries to hold us back. And every one of our songs, you can tell we arent happy with whatever we are playing against. But hopefully, you understand that through our lyrics. Words are clever little things, and we like to think we know what we are doing.
You may notice that we have a lot of screamo qualities in our specific field of music but we arent focused around that element. But Ill give you the benefit of the doubt that you already know what music we are playing. This is all what we want to do as a living. I know its the typical teenagers dream to play in a band and to become famous, but, as I said before, we like to think that we know what we are doing.
