About Me

Rest of My Life started back at the turn of the millennium as an outbreak from a punk band. They quickly started to include elements from old school emo, indie and instrumental rock into their expression. Since their self-titled debut album in 2003, many line-up changes and more focused song making has made the band what they are today. Their 2005 EP “Transition” had signs of things to come on their latest album “All pretty people live in airports”, which was released on How is Annie/Dead Letter Records in spring 2007. The melodies once buried for the untrained ear has now come to the surface, still not on the expense of the dynamic and complex arrangements. It’s melodic indie rock with post rock influences - having lyrics humorously, yet critically describing people’s every day life.
The band has done a lot of touring. Last summer saw an extensive german tour promoting their latest release. Two other highlights: Storåsfestival07 (video below, produced by Whitestar productions), and splitgig with the great Appleseed cast.
In July 09 RoML started the recording of the upcoming album, which will be released early next year.
