The core of the band was formed when neighborhood friends Mark Cutro (guitar/vocals) and Mike DiPrima (bass/backing vocals) started jamming together nearly twenty years ago!! Being big Aerosmith fans , they named their band after the song One Way Street. Despite living in Ohio, Mike still comes in for rehearsals and gigs. "Vito" also plays bass on the new Wet Animal album!! Check out their myspace, they are on our friends list!! Shortly after, Tom O'Connor (guitar/bass/backing vocals) joined the band. Several years later, Fred Braun (drums) joined the crew. Finally, Mark Smolen (guitar/backing vocals) signed up and the current lineup was set. A set list was put together consisting of music from the 1960s through the 2000s!! Bands covered include Aerosmith, U.F.O., Seether, Smashing Pumpkins, Collective Soul and many, many more! The band has performed all over the Chicagoland area including, Wrigleyville, North Beach, Edison Park, West Loop and various suburbs. One Way Street is also a great band to book at your festivals and outdoor shows. Most recently they have pleased crowds at Mount Prospect's 4th of July Fest and the Norwood Park Fall Fest among many others!! They also have performed in Wisconsin. The band's demo is completed as is their press kit. The kit is being distributed throughout the Chicagoland area including bars, clubs and summer festivals.
