Music : in pretty much any form except
American Idol and the string of shows that follow in its footsteps.
Music is not a contest. It is an expression, an art form and a passion.
Snowboarding : I could handle a couple
extra months of winter.
Gear: Morrow Spoon 152" - A classic! I have tried a ton of other boards but nothing has ridden as sweet as my Spoon. Sadly it may be time to retire the Spoon as it has had a few rough winters. Bindings: Switch TeamX step-ins.
Boots: Vans NType. Around Madison the boarding is alright. Cascade and Tyrol do a decent job, but the last few years have been predominantly man-made. I am not a fan a the marbles. I head to Upper Michigan as much as I can... pretty much any hill in the snowbelt is cool.
Bikes : I sold mine to help save
money to buy my house. Now I have a house so I can get a better bike, right?
I have my sights set on a CBR600RR... ah yes please.
Computers : Basically if it has
a circuit board I want to take it apart.
Gaming : LAN, Xbox anything to get
some friends together.
Sports : I love playing sports...
I watch here and there, but I would much rather be an active participant. I have
played baseball competitively for much of my life. I had to stop
a few years ago as I wrecked my rotator cuff. Volleyball: I still
play both in league and with friends. I made the move from hitter to setter after
my arm gave out. Basketball: I have played all my life and I
love playing pick-up or organized ball. Golf: is just fun and
relaxing... when you are as bad as I am you don't have much choice.
I love music in pretty much every form as I stated above.
I don't typically seek out country music, but I can watch it live, more out
of respect for the performance.
Big supporter of smaller independent, or better stated currently independent
music.
What drove me into becoming a musician may be a better response here.
Trent Reznor and Thom Yorke is the simple answer.
While in school I saw each perform and thought... I really need to do that.
Since I have found similar inspiration in many, many musicians.
I have more respect for Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington than I can possibly express here... but that is another story I will save for a blog sometime.
Well for starters... War of the Worlds.
1. HG Wells. 2. Steven Spielberg 3. because my music is in the film.
Enough self promo.
I can watch pretty much anything, but I warn you... I love to analyze and pick
movies apart.
I worked in production for a number of years and that makes me a bad movie-goer,
but I love going.
Good stories draw me in quite quickly. Mediocre production does the complete
opposite.
I don't watch a great deal of television. When I do I typically stick to Fuse, MTV2, Documentaries, Conan O'Brien or Comedy Central. Beyond that I catch the news when I can.
Not a term I use often. I find inspiration in everything around me... positive and negative.
