I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

"SUCCESS" - Ralph Waldo Emerson
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.
A LITTLE ABOUT Carole:
**I'm realistic about life. I have found that's the only way to be. Otherwise life has a way of sneaking up and biting you on the behind.
**I'm an honest individual who expects nothing less in return. I trust others until I'm given a reason not to. "Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me."
**I believe that there are valuable lessons to be learned from each and every experience that we have in life. It is up to us how we use that experience going forward.
**I work hard....but I love, laugh and play even harder.
**I give 110% of myself in any relationship and when it becomes obvious that the other person is only about themselves, it's time to move on.
***There is no room in my heart for racism***
TURN OFFS:
***Liars
***Users
***Players
***Cheaters
TURN ONS:
***Those who are genuine with their words and actions
***Those who aren't afraid to love and be loved
***Those who are open and giving of themselves
***Those who care about the impressions they leave of themselves with others
***Those who want to leave this world having made a positive difference in the life of a child. Regardless of how large or small that difference might seem to be...to a child, it ALL matters***
MY REQUEST OF Others:
**VOTE your conscience. Don't base your vote on pressure from others...do your homework and do the research...make an informed decision and vote your conscience. Do it because you can. Do it because you care. Do it because it's the right thing to do.
*Make your own way in life...don't expect others to do it for you...eventually you will be alone.
*Act responsibly and sensibly and hold yourself accountable for your actions.
*Say what you mean and do what you say.
*Find a cause that you believe in and support it fully. If you can't afford to give financially, then give of your time or of your talent(s). There are many ways to 'give'.
*When your moral compass seems to be getting out of whack, it's time for a tune-up.
*Express appreciation, for the things others do for you. "Thank you" is a very powerful word and can never be used too much.
*Don't play psychiatrist. It can annoy those around you and doesn't impress anyone.
*If you do wrong by someone, don’t make excuses or search for justification. Admit your wrongdoings, sincerely apologize and make things right to the best of your ability.
*Be true to yourself and don't settle for less than you want and deserve.
*Don't surround yourself with false friends, for they will be your downfall.
*When you find something that you want, go for it. Give it your all...110%. If you achieve it, you succeed. If you don't, then remember all the knowledge you gained during the pursuit.
*Never give up on your dreams.
*Using a friendship purely for personal gain is demeaning, not only to your 'friend', but to yourself.
*When in the presence of children, remember they are like sponges, they absorb everything they see and hear.
*A child's success in life, begins at home.
*It's important to be your child's friend, but it's more important to be their parent.
