Shunsui has two zanpakutou's.His zanpakutou, Katen Kyoukotsu, is one of the two zanpakutous that its shikai is a zanpakutou pair (also along with Jyuushiro Ukitake). To release it, Kyouraku must recite a poem-sort of command which is longer than most zanpakutou commands. When released, the daisho (katana-wakizashi) pair becomes a pair of over-sized scimitar-shaped swords. Katen Kyoukotsu's ability has not been officially determined yet, however.
