I was born in Los Angeles, California then moved to the Westbank Washington Place in Avondale. I've been a D.J. for a Hot, Hot minute & as in Cuttin' & Scratching. Which has become a lost cause for lack light from the mainstream, and lack of understanding. Remember groups like Grandmaster Flash & the Furious 5, Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince, Eric B. & Rakim, Gangstarr, Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth. That's my mindset right there, equal billing mutual respect as artist. Once known as D.J. TOO COOL, I changed it up because I was much more the just a D.J.. So around the late 90's it transformed to D.J. SLASH/. The slash stands for D.J./ PRODUCER/ LYRICIST/ WRITER/ ARRANGER/ RECORD POOL COORDINATOR/ STREET TEAM ASSASSIN.WAX CUTTERS RECORD POOL created in 1997 because of strong label relationships with various companies.
