McKenzie lives in Pennsylvania and performs mostly in the eastern region but has traveled as far as Las Vegas to perform. She has an incredibly beautiful voice that is also very powerful. McKenzie plays acoustic-electric guitar and writes her own christian and country songs. McKenzie can be heard on WPPT 92.1 Country Legends radio station in Mercersburg, Pa. This year McKenzie will be performing at the CMA Festival In June 5-8 in Nashville, TN. McKenzie will also be competing in Austin, Texas this year in October (Time & Date TBA) with the Rising Super Star Competition in which she was a finalist for the week of January 28th. Currently, McKenzie is the YOUNGEST ever to be selected to be a finalist. (www.risingsuperstar.com) She performs original and cover songs such as; Taylor Swift, Sugarland and traditional country artists; such as, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette---so she has fans of all ages!In 2006 she performed at the Relay for Life fundraiser at her school, Shirleysburg Home for the Aged, McClure Bean Soup Festival, Port Royal Fair, Orbisonia Homecoming Carnival, Lewistown Festival of Ice, Meadowview Manor and competed in the USA World Showcase in Las Vegas, Nevada. McKenzie has won at several talent competitions including the 2006 & 2007 Orbisonia Homecoming Idol-teen division and won 1st place at the 2007 17th Annual Crazy Fest Talent Show-12-13 year old division- in Altoona, Pa sponsored by Q94 Classic Rock and PA Musician's Magazine. She also placed in the top 4 of the 2007 WGRC Christian Radio Talent Show and performed on that radio station. She was a finalist in the Lewistown Riverfest Idol competition to be held the end of June and finished in 5th place out of 39 entries. McKenzie won the 2007 Shippensburg Fair Karaoke contest on July 28th and 2nd place in 2008. McKenzie performed in May at the Clearfield Jammin' The Valley which was a benefit show for the Children's Miracle Network. McKenzie, also, appeared all four days at the PA State Singing Convention in Martinsburg, Pa in August. McKenzie sang at the Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse in Burgettstown, Pa in September.
