About Me
Logic, born October 23, 1988 is an emcee/poet from Toronto Canada. He has been deeply involved in this musical movement called Hip Hop for roughly five years and has been recording for three years. Despite his "amateur" status on the music scene he has succesfully recorded numerous solid songs and is currently tediously at work on his independent debut mixtape dubbed "Feel Good Muzik" which is scheduled for release upon completion. Logic believes that music is the most expressive and liberating medium and that Hip Hop music in paticular has the potential to inspire today's youth positively. In his own words, "Music has been the most liberating experience for me, the use of poetry to express myself has not only been therapeutic for me but it has also kept me out of trouble by helping me channel my emotions; be it hate, anger, confusion, frustration or fear into something positive." Logic spent much of his childhood years in Rexdale where he first genuinly fell in love with Hip Hop and decided to pursue the art as a hobby. "Growing up in that environment made me feel inferior as my hood was labelled as a troubled and impoverished community. I always felt like I was destined for greatness but was just another child of expectation against all odds. However, it was not untill I moved to Ghana, West Africa where I lived for three years with my grandparents, that I realized that despite my situation I was actually blessed and should actually be grateful." This reality check ultimately inspired him to exceed his potential and break all boundries. "I'm on my grind right now, Im working real hard to make this a reality and i just pray that the world will offer me their ears."
Logic's musical innfluences include: 2Pac, Nas, Jay-Z, A Tribe Called Quest, Common, AZ, KRS 1, Raekwon, Ghostface Killa, Rakim, Kool G Rap, Dr.Dre, Premo, Timbaland, 9th Wonder and Just Blaze, just to name a few. "It is my intention to use my music not only as a means of expression but also to provide what I call "feel good music" for the masses just as Pac did. I want my music to make you laugh, smile and cry. I want to share my struggles and joy's with you. I want you to embrace my music and partake in this musical experience. So I ask that you relax and simply enjoy this musical celebration of life that I have prepared on this silver platter exclusively for you. Bon Appetit!"
