Maybe it’s the intensity of her voice, or maybe the undisputed care, passion and lustre in this project making it difficult to define what makes this magical and irrational sensation that transpires while listening to “Days of Power†by MILOW The Girl so delightful.
It is the first work of an artist/songwriter who talks about her young life in a very personal and positive style. MILOW expresses herself with a transparent and organic blend, describing love stories, joys and life contradictions as well as sorrows. Undeniably in this work there is more than just the mere music and lyrics.
The songs have been carefully thought out and preserve a spontaneity and freshness ,vocally led by the unique colour of the voice to achieve a rare matching of talent and sensitivity. And possibly this complexity of sensations is the most attractive element in “Days of Powerâ€, a record that surely leaves its mark in the minds and the hearts of the listeners.
Recorded in Miami, Florida, this first album reflects all the musical influences of a Swiss’s singer brought to Pop/Rock style. In collaboration with Vinnie Zummo (Joe Jackson’s former lead guitarist) on many of the songs, MILOW released an album where she skilfully mixed Shakespeare’s language and German, her maternal language.
MILOW’ sound is powerful, sensitive and refined, and there is no doubt about the quality of the 14 songs put together in “Days of Powerâ€. Let them pour into your mind and they’ll forever haunt you!
