About Me

Hello, and welcome to me, David.

Can I get you anything? Comfy? Good.

Here's all the good stuff about me: I'm creatively intelligent and new-fangled ideas get me all excited. I'm a nice guy--Not "nice", just nice. I'm adventurous/fun, and a little bit wild, which tends to make my life exciting. I like confident people and I like liking things. I'm a romantic, and honor is important to me, in a romantic way. I enjoy being a man and lifting heavy things.

I love music, make it on my computer, and lose myself when I dance.

Making up my own mind is important to me, and I spend a lot of time thinking about things. I have an actual plan to take over the world.

Favorite pie: Cherry.

My Interests

Dancing My Ass Off, Making Music on the Computer, Creating Adventure, Learning everything, Little Sports Cars, Witty Banter, Dogs, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Reading, Weird Web Stuff, Psychology, Ultimate Knowledge, Standing Up For the Weak, Rock / Paper / Scissors

I'd like to meet:

If you're cool, I'm your fool. If you can trade witty banter, you'll hold my interest. If you have confidence, I'll probably think you're sexy. But, if you're all of that, and you dance like no one's watching, I'll think you're... all awesome, and stuff.

Music:

Dance Music of all types (really digging the funky breaks right now), Reggae, Ska, Rockabilly, 80's New Wave, Cutting Edge Music of All Types, The Music I Make My Damn Self, and Driving Rock.

I think that every type of music has something to offer, and connects directly to our souls. I've got me a scientific theory about how that works...

Movies:

I love movies!

Usual Suspects stands out as my favorite. Quentin Tarantino’s big three: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Kill Bill--all ruled. Airplane, Pulp Fiction, Tampopo, Snatch, Lock Stock, Memento, Amelie, Fight Club, Millers Crossing--masterpieces.

The Shining scared the crap out of me.

Television:

My TV is an extension of my DVD player.

Books:

Prayer For Owen Meany (number one), Cruel Shoes & Pure Drivel (Steve Martin is one of the literary geniuses of our time), Still Life With Woodpecker (beautiful and clever), Sign and the Seal (sparked my love for looking deeper than the surface), Memoirs of a Geisha (just plain beautiful), Anything by Kurt Vonnegut, and The Tao of Physics.

I also like the 1954 Air Force Survival Manual I bought for 50 cents at a garage sale.

Heroes:

All those folks in the Justice League are pretty good.

A Poem About Cheese

The purpose of this poem is to mention cheese. Some would argue that by stating my intention to mention cheese I have already mentioned cheese and therefore need not mention cheese again. I ...
