About Me

I am a born again believer in Jesus Christ. My life has not always been in the best shape. I grew up in a small town in Texas, named Wortham. I am the second of three boys that my mother gave birth to. I was named after my father. Growing up in a home with both parents present was a blessing to me. As you can tell I was somewhat into sports. Just like many people I begin to live a lifestyle that was very unpleasing to God as a teenager. I was always into partying and the night life. Because of my athletic ability I was able to recieve a scholarship to Texas Christian University. I was on the football team and felt that life could be no better. My lifestyle caused me to find myself out of school and facing many years in prison. While in jail I heard for the first time, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Believe it or not I attended a Christian University and never knew what it meant to be a Christian. No one ever told me one thing about Jesus Christ, and what He did for me on the cross at Calvalry, until I was in jail. The Lord blessed me to get out of trouble time and time again for the next few years. Throughout those years I found myself having a desire to follow Jesus, but to be honest, I rathered to live that very lifestyle that was destroying my life. I was commiting all manner of evil and ungodliness. I say that not in a prideful manner either. I am ashamed of the life I once lived. I know that I have caused hurt to not only myself, and others, but most of all, to God. I have known what it is to be a backslider, looking for joy in environments were I knew I did not belong. It took me being hurt and being in pressing situations to see the love of God for the first time. It's strange how most people never recognize the Hand of God until times when they have dillemas. Many might criticize, but I care not what it took me to go through, for the Lord to save me, as long as I'm saved. Now that I have my eyes fixed on Jesus I know that the victory is mine. I did not choose to accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour because I grew up in a church or because I wanted to look good in someone elses eyes. I made that decision first, because the Father drew, and then I realized that I was a sinner in need of a Saviour. I found that nothing else in life could give me true joy and hapiness. In my heart I believe that if the Lord could save my soul, and change my direction, anyone else can be saved, if they so desire. Accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour has been the best decision that I've made in my life. Some day I hope to travel throughout the world reaching those in need with the love of Jesus Christ. I am currently a fitter for a fabrication company here where I live. We build satellite intennas and towers. What goes on in the shop is mostly welding, working with blue prints, and machine shop work. It's not the best job to have, but it's a blessing to have. My father has worked their since I was a little child, so you can imagine me not wanting to retire there. What I truely want to do for a career is be a realtor. I have looked into it for a while now. My life has just never been stable enough to go in that direction. Now that things are beginning to stabalize, I hope to pursue that in due season. I try to keep myself focused by telling myself that the little steps will help also. For the time being I will save money and do the things that are necessary to someday support a family. From here on out I desire to do the will of God!! /

My Interests

I really enjoy learning the ways of God. Reading my bible daily is very important to me. I like going out to eat when I get the chance. Like most people, shopping is always fun to me. World news is something that I like to keep up with. History in all cultures is very important to me. If I had a choice of something to study it would probably be history. I have a great interest in the people of Africa. At one point I wanted to move to South Africa. Those who are suffering from starvation, AIDS and oppression in all of Africa, keeps a heavy burden on my heart. I grown interested in the Middle Eastern culture in the last few years also. I look at the Middle East as Gods time clock. I am equally driven to reach the youth in the U.S and people all over the world who are in need of a Saviour.

I'd like to meet:

As for famous people, there is not too many that I care to meet. It would be nice to sit down and talk one on one with President George W. Bush. Nelson Mandella would also be a great choice. Religious figures such as Billy Graham and Dr. Oral Roberts would be a blessing to meet. I really have no preference on what type of peson I would like to meet. I am open to talk to those who believe like me and those who do not. Being able to communicate with people in all walks of life is a desire of mine, no matter ones race, background, religion, or financial status. If there were a preference it would be people who are mature, or at least trying to be. People who are willing to reach out and help others really interest me.
