Aristotle, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Emily Dickinson, Henry David Thoreau, Albert Einstein, Marilyn Monroe, Jim Morrison, My Mom's Parents - Notice the common denominator. But seriously, I'd like to meet intelligent, creative people who are kindred spirits, writers, musicians and other creative types.
I couldn’t imagine life without music. Television could fall into the tarns of the earth for all I care. I have eclectic taste in music. I listen to most anything but I really like hard rock, heavy metal, folk and reggae. I know those are strange combinations. However, I feel at home with the crowds they draw. I like music with messages. Some of the poems I write are actually lyrics to music I sing in my head. I listen to music at all hours of the day. I enjoy attending concerts especially outdoor ones. Red Rocks amphitheatre is one of my favorites. I’ve gone there with my family and sat upon a blanket under the stars and monoliths listening to some good tunes. I feel free when I listen to songs. My mind wanders and I can be anyone, anywhere.
Some Like it Hot, The Matrix Trilogy, Armageddon, Independence Day, It's a Wonderful Life to name a few.
I hate TV on most days. Okay - I'll admit to watching Scrubs and Lost.
No particular order: Walden, Billy Budd, Letters From an American Farmer, Common Sense, The Fall of the House of Usher, Leaves of Grass, Civil Disobedience, Self Reliance, That Evening Sun, Daisy Miller, The Short Happy Life of Francis MacComber, Sula, Mericans, The Red Convertible, Poetry by Emily Dickinson and Anne Bradstreet
My daughter - I don't care if that's a cliche.
