Road-Ready & Tour-Tested, the rig is the result of years of live & studio experience. It's the best of both worlds : Marshall and Fender. The heart of the rig is a Marshall JMP-1 preamp and a vintage 9200 power amp pushing a JCM900 1960 stereo slant cab loaded with Celestion GT-75's. There is also a Fender Cyber Twin which I have modded. An extensive arsenal of effects can be inserted either through rack-based effects or pedals on the floor.
This rig gives me almost any guitar tone I could want, from sparkling Fender cleans to groovy Vibrato & Tremolo tones, silky blues tones and scorching Marshall distortion.
There's also a Trace Elliott TA-100R acoustic amp, and I have several 6 & 12 string Ovations in different tunings and a Gracie Stand to round things out.
I'm a tone junkie, not a volume freak. This rig makes a huge contribution to any project I use it on. The rig can be downsized to just the Marshall or Just the Fender for smaller gigs. For really tiny stages, I also have a few small combo amps that work well in tight situations.
Combined with my "holy trinity" of guitars; A Strat, Tele and Les Paul, the rig works really well for me.
Everything is in road cases along with all the tools, tech gear and spare parts to keep almost everything chiming along at any gig.
You can never be too rich, too good looking or have too much guitar gear. Well I ain't rich, and I sure ain't no pretty boy, but I got the gear! Of course, there's always an item or two (thousand) on my wish list: a Matchless Chieftain or Bad Cat Hot Cat30 or VHT Pitbull would make a great addition to the gear. Maybe this year...
